Phone games that work without internet

We hunt down RPGs, puzzles and simulators you can play on a plane, in the metro or out in the middle of nowhere. Every game here gets installed, played for real hours, and written about honestly. No fluff, no filler. Big Bass 3in1 — A relaxed three-mode fishing collection that runs fully offline and looks surprisingly polished.

Why us

We actually play

Every review comes from real playtime on real devices, not a press kit or a trailer. We finish what we start whenever the game lets us.

No paid placements

Rankings and scores are ours alone. A developer can't buy a better spot on this site.

Offline verified

We test each game in airplane mode before recommending it, so you know it works without a connection.

Ember Vale Chronicles

★★★★★ 4.7

Ember Vale Chronicles is the kind of RPG I keep hoping to find on mobile. It has a proper storyline, a party you build over time, and turn-based battles that reward thinking a couple of moves ahead. The whole campaign lives on your device, so no server issues ever get in the way.

  • Full offline campaign with real story
  • Deep turn-based combat and skill trees
  • Charming hand-drawn art style

Questions & answers

How do you choose which games to review?

We pick games we're genuinely curious about across different genres, then install and play them ourselves. Offline playability is a hard requirement, so anything that needs a constant connection usually doesn't make it here. We also try to keep a balance so it's not all one genre.

Do developers pay you for reviews?

No. Nobody pays us to cover a game or to score it higher. Our opinions and ratings are entirely our own, and we'll say when something disappointed us. That's the whole reason the site exists.

Can I suggest a game for you to review?

Absolutely, we love recommendations. Just email us with the game's name and, ideally, why you think it's worth a look. We can't promise to cover everything, but we read every message.

Is there advertising on the site?

We keep things minimal and never let advertising influence a review. For example, when we covered Big Bass 3in1 our score came purely from playing it, not from any outside arrangement. If that ever changes, we'll say so clearly.
