Big Bass 3in1: three fishing modes, zero internet needed

I didn't expect much from Big Bass 3in1 going in. Bundled mini-game collections often feel thin, like one decent idea stretched across three menus. This one surprised me by being consistently pleasant across all three modes, and by working flawlessly with the phone in airplane mode.

The heart of it is the reel-in timing. You cast, wait for a bite, then manage tension as the fish fights you. Pull too hard and you lose the line, too soft and it slips away. Each of the three modes tweaks the rhythm, so the slow mode is almost meditative while the chain-catch mode keeps you tapping quickly.

Presentation is a real strong point. The water reacts nicely, catches feel weighty thanks to little animation touches, and the interface stays out of the way. I never had to squint at a cluttered screen to figure out what to do next.

If I had one wish, it'd be a bit more variety in the environments. But for a casual offline game you dip into on a commute, Big Bass 3in1 does exactly what it sets out to do. Easy to recommend for short sessions.
